Ammo in Sugarland

Post by LDB415 »

OK, when you finish laughing please help a guy out. Anyone know of a source in the Sugarland general area for reasonably priced .22LR ammo? I'm going to Radical Firearms for Cerakote and Vaso's BBQ for lunch and it would be a fine finish to my outing if I could pick up some ammo somewhere out that way. Thanks for any leads.

Reasonably priced .22 LR seems to be an oxymoron these days. I'm not a great big fan of Academy these days but I've found .22 ammo at my local store a while back, but the lower priced disappears fast leaving the premium, target and match ammo on the shelf behind the gun counter. That ammo goes for $4.5 - $12.00 /50 rnd box. The last Federal HV I bought a month or so ago was $2.49 if I remember. I did a transfer at one of my LGS and they had CCI Mini-Mag 100pk for $8.95 which is not bad for a Mom and Pop enterprise. Hope you find some.

Bumping this since it's the most recent thread I can find.

How did that turn out for you? Ballpark price, service, turnaround time?

Got a stripped upper and lower + 10" rail for an SBR build that I want matched to Magpul's 'Stealth Grey'.

They did a great job on the Cerakote. It looks fantastic. I'd definitely go to them again. To be honest I don't remember for certain just how much it was to do the receiver but it seemed reasonable. They did great work and it took a couple of weeks overall.
