Fingerprint question
My wife went today to get her fingerprints done & they were rejected, said her hands were to dry. I asked if they moisten them or had her put lotion on & she said no they did not. Has anyone had this happen & what was done to remedy this to get good prints?
Re: Fingerprint question
The guys doing the fingerprinting rejected her?
That's a new one.

Re: Fingerprint question
Have her try using Corn Husker's Lotion for two or three days before the appointment.

Re: Fingerprint question
My stepdad has used that corn huskers lotion for years. I rarely use lotion, but I also haven't been ranching for 60 years. If it works good enough to get some crotchety old rancher to keep using it that is usually a pretty good endorsement.

Re: Fingerprint question
She said the machine rejected them when the lady went to roll them but my wife said she felt the lady wanted to get out of there as she had the last appointment for the day & there were 2 more to do after her. They told her that she will have to wait for DPS to reject them before she can get them done again.
Re: Fingerprint question
That is a crock. I had a fingerprint reject and they just rolled it again. When my girlfriend went and had hers done she had to repeat a few as well. Of course now that they sent off bad prints she will probably have to wait for the state to reject them, but there was no reason for that to happen.

Re: Fingerprint question
When I had mine done, they told me it takes 3 days to process them & get them to DPS,so hopefully she can call them in the morning & get them to stop the order to have them redone again. I went to a different location & they had to roll mine a few times to get a good reading & had a little spray bottle to moisten my hands to get them to read good.

Re: Fingerprint question
Sounds like the person taking her finger prints just wasn't doing her job. When I got mine taken, the guy wiped my fingers with Windex Wipes. He said, it makes the scanner read the prints better. Also, on one of my scans, he looked at it, made a funny face, and said, "Let's try that again". Then he said "That's Better!" after he rescanned it.
