Don't do it Ned!
Your gonna hate your self in the morning!
If you invest that money today, you could be rich by the time you retire and get any gun you want.
That money would be better spent by giving it to your favorite charity.
When the Dems win, your just gonna have to give it to the Government.
There, I feel so much better. Be sure to post some pics when you get it home.

Re: Please Stop Me!
I didn't do it. I put half the money down but I can't decide. I found a Springfield Loaded model for ten dollars more than the Kimber. I figure I would give another day or two decide. Please feel free to comment. I did feel guilty thinking I should be putting that money in my IRA or something.
Re: Please Stop Me!
Ned: The answer is simple. Buy the gun you like best, because you absolutely know you want to, and you won't be happy until you do.
Then buyer's remorse will set in. You will question your decision; you will wish you hadn't bought that 1911. You will be miserable.
PM me. The simple solution will then be to give the gun to me so it will have a good home, and you won't have to feel guilty every time you look at it.
Don't know about you, but the direction my IRA is going, a new 1911 in an election year actually sounds like a better long-term investment.

If you purchase just the Kimber it will get lonely - purchase the Springfield to keep it company.

Re: Please Stop Me!
My recommendation would be the Springfield over the Kimber. Both are good pistols, though neither is as good as the Taurus (for the money). By the Springer now, then a Taurus when you get more money.

I've heard that Kimbers are bad about that.

Re: Please Stop Me!
I just put new black slabs on my 1997 Kimber Stainless Compact so I could put the original wood in safe keeping. It's like starting the love affair all over again

You guys are too funny! I think that I am going to go with the Springfield. I can't stop looking at the pics of it on SA's website. This is the one that I am thinking of buying.
