Sorry guys, got you all beat, when I lived in the People's Republic of Massachusetts, my Federal elected representation consisted of Ted Kennedy, John Kerry and Barney Frank, the tri-fecta of liberalism :cryin

So glad to be back home in Texas!! :txflag:
Yeah, you did have us all beat.

lawrnk does have a point though; as disappointing as it is to have Al Green representing my district, Sheila Jackson-Lee would be downright embarrassing.

Well, we go to the Toyota Center quite often...Not for the Rockets games, but for the Aeros hockey team...And I know for a fact that the entrance we use does not utilize any detection or body searches (wanding) for any purposes...I am not sure if it is the event, or any other requirements the facility implements to ensure the "safety" of the guests for that particular nights festivities...

But...We all know the facility mostly hosts professional sporting events, therefore, by law, you cannot carry under the protection of the law we carry a firearm for lawful defensive purposes in this state...

So if Miles was carrying at this event and inside that facility, then yes, it should weigh heavy on the legal process he is going to have to face up to soon...

If he was a real man, he wouldn't be in this predicament, and if these allegations are un-true, a real man would face up to them and let the process prove he is clear of any wrong-doing...

But his track record proves otherwise...

He IS a hypocrite in the worse way...

Why is he only facing up to a year in jail (and a fine) for assault? I always assumed that assault with a weapon was considered a more serious crime in Texas. (Guess not.)

Also, has he been charged with illegal trespass?

I believe the owners of the venue would have to press those charges. Knowing how corporations operate, they probably don't want a history of pressing charges against Congressmen. That is, if you're referring to trespass of a CHL holder under 30.06. Although, as it appears to have been a sporting event, which is not under the 30.06 posting definition, I would think he would be charged with unlawful carry in a prohibited place. Then there's intentional failure to conceal, terroristic threats, and aggravated assault. I would think the DA would be seeking well beyond a year for all those charges. We'll have to see what all is brought to court in the end.
