Borris Miles, Dem TX State Rep w/ CHL Warrant Issued

Post by lawrnk »

Please recall that this lib voted against the castle doctrine, has a CHL, and then was protected under the castle doctrine when shooting a copper thief. Many things ommited from this article was when he invaded the hotel and waved the gun, he referred to himself as a "gangsta" and stated they did "not realize what he was capable of". Leave it to the Chronicle to leave that out. I hope the judge throws the book at this loser.

HOUSTON -- An arrest warrant was issued on Monday for state Rep. Borris Miles, accused of deadly conduct, KPRC Local 2 reported.

A Harris County assistant district attorney said that Miles was indicted in connection with two incidents in December where Miles was accused of pulling out a gun in a threatening manner.

A Houston woman and her husband filed suit against Miles earlier this year, asking that he be tested for sexually transmitted diseases and claiming he forced a kiss on the woman at a holiday party.

The Harris County District Attorney's Office investigated the complaint that Miles entered a St. Regis Hotel ballroom uninvited, confronting guests, displaying a pistol and forcibly kissing the woman.

He is also accused of pulling a gun on a TSU regent's wife at a Rockets game at the Toyota Center the same night.

He was indicted on two counts of deadly conduct, a Class A misdemeanor, officials said.

If convicted, Miles, 42, faces up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.

Miles currently represents District 146, which spreads across southwest Houston, including Sunnyside and the Third Ward.

He lost the March primary to former District 146 state Rep. Al Edwards.

"There's a warrant out for his arrest and he has to be processed in order for him to deal with the case," said Paul Doyle, a Harris County assistant district attorney.

Why do you think you he voted agasint it all. He wants to be able to sue if he gets shot trying to threaten someone with his firearm.

So can CHLs carry at professional sporting events now or only if we bribe the right Democrats?

Ridiculous. Toyota Center is posted anyway (legal) regardless of what event is taking place. How come he did not get arrasted and did not loose his license on the spot?

This idiot is the representative for my district. If one were to judge by the elected officials from my district, I live in one of the most anti-gun areas of Texas.

Besides this genius, the state senator is Rodney Ellis, the sponsor of such bills as SB 1386 (AWB proposed in 2005), and the US Representative is Al Green, the only Texas congressman to sign on to a brief supporting DC in Heller.

Because I'm not an LEO and I wasn't there. Security was probably too awed by his State Representative status. Of course, I'm the same guy who, as a private in basic training, told the Battalion Commander "I'm sorry, sir, but I can not allow you to come through my gate without the password."

I think you forgot Moynihan, he was a MA Senator under NY's generous Foreign Exchange Senator program, now sponsoring an additional Senator from IL via AR. :totap:

Too bad no CHL'ers were around when he pulled the gun in a threatening manner. They could have put him away for good!
