I bought 6 guns in the past 2 years and my wife thinks I'm crazy. Seems normal to me.
I think her greatest fear is what I would buy if I won a lottery!! Can you imagine?

Before moving from California to Texas, I had purchased the following items over the course of about 16 years:
  1. 1 used Ruger M77 MkII in .308 (still own)
  2. 1 NIB S&W Model 29 .44 magnum (still own)
  3. 1 used S&W Model 12 Airweight (sold)
  4. 1 used in like new condition Colt Government .380 (still own)
  5. 1 very used old Stevens .22 youth rifle (gave it away recently to a friend's 6 yr old boy)
  6. 1 Remington 522 Viper (broke, not worth fixing)
That's 6 guns in 16 years, 3 of which I either no longer have, or don't work.

Since having moved to Texas, I have purchased the items over the course of 2 years:
  1. 1 NIB Remington 700 VSF in .308 (still own)
  2. 1 NIB Savage 10FP-HS Precision in .308 for my son to use (still own)
  3. 1 used CPO Sig 1911 GSR Stainless Carry (traded in for another gun)
  4. 1 NIB H&K USP Compact .40S&W (still own)
  5. 1 NIB Bushmaster Varminter (still own)
  6. 1 NIB S&W 642 Airweight Crimson Trace for my wife (still own)
  7. 1 Taurus PT1911 for my son to use (still own)
  8. 1 NIB Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry II (still own)
  9. 1 NIB S&W 642 Airweight for myself (purchased just this morning)
That's 9 guns in 2 years. I love this state.

I think that I've just about pushed the limits of what my spousal unit will tolerate though!

Hi my name is Steve and i'm a "gunaholic" I don't know how I became a gunaholic I think it started with my first gun a red ryder bb gun or maybe the silver cap pistols that came with a double holster belt.No one else in my family has this disease my dad bought 2 guns a 22 rifle and a 12 ga shotgun and that's all he "needed" I'm thinking are you crazy don't you realise there are pistols and several calibres that need to be shot, new guns being built every year that need a home where they can be "loved".The only cure Is admit you have a "problem" and buy ammo to feed the guns you already have.By the way I own almost 25 firearms

Is this a sickness? The worse thing I ever did was to buy a gun safe - now I feel compelled to fill it.

Wow your post matches my exact situation too!! All I can say is that once you start with the NFA stuff it gets worse. Also, when (not if) you run out of space in your safe like I did recently, buy some Bore Stores for your rifles. This way you can add quite a bit more storage by leaning stuff on top of each other, rather than keeping everything in their respective notch holders.

ps. Hopefully there is NO cure for what we have!

I know I have it....

I just spent all of my time last month researching and finally ordering my M1 Garand from CMP.

Now, I thought I was set - just waiting for my "plastic" to arrive - by the way that's another thing -

I shot last weekend with my (to be) carry (Sig 239 .357 sig). Love it! Well, my friend let me borrow his Kimber 1911 to shoot. I think...... NO....I KNOW that I will have a mistress.

I now want a Kimber 1911 4" to be with me! Now, I'm trying to determine if I want the Kimber Pro Carry II or the Kimber Pro TLE II....

What to do?.....(any suggestions?)

Aaarrrgghh! It's a sickness.....

Get the Kimber Aegis Pro in 9mm. Accurate and easy to carry. I have the Aegis 9mm in the 3" version and love it - but regret not getting the Pro in 4" (just as easy to carry and more accurate by nature). I have had no problems with my Aegis however and you can't go wrong with a Kimber. :thumbs2:
