They really are extremely concealable. Nothing bigger than a Kel-Tec can fit in my pocket like a J-Frame. Bigger guns like Kahrs, Bersas, and Walthers all have frames (particularly in the grip area) that are too big to drop into a pocket without bits poking out or showing obviously. My S&W 340PD on the other hand, slips perfectly into the front pocket of any of my pants and along with my keys and a knife it leaves only a slight bulge.

Well, even if I took everything out of my pocket, I still can't fit my G27 in any pocket other than a cargo pocket. I just figured I'd look at alternatives to when I can't carry my G27 IWB.

I have a 642, Kahr PM9, and a Taurus 445 .44 spl that all work in my jeans pockets using Mika holsters.

If there is a 'tell', it's all of the keys, knife, change, etc. bulging in the weak side pocket.

Taking Venus's side, imagine being a woman and wearing different...l'equippe than men. Her jeans may be tighter than yours.

Heck, my BUG of choice is a Seecamp .32 because it's so small and flat; it's a little heavy for its size, but that's because it's made like a tank. And it's in an R.L. Graham "Back Pocket" holster (but carried in the front) with a shield that prints like a wallet.

Have you tried a j-frame with a Barami hip grip carried at 1-2 o'clock?

I'm not a woman and I don't own any pants baggie enough, or with large enough pockets to carry my j-frame in either.

I just picked up one of these (with the spurless hammer), and a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster. I keep Buffalo Bore +P 158g LSWCHP ammo in it for carry, but standard pressure 38Spl will be used for practice.

It just disappears in the pocket of my cargo shorts. I just feel more confident with a DA wheelgun riding in my pocket, instead of an autoloader.

I like it as a "quick trip to the store" pocket gun.

I frequently carry a S&W full weight steel 5 shot snubby in my front pants pocket in a pocket holster. It breaks up the outline and looks like my other pocket because I keep my wallet in the other front pocket. I often wear either Dockers, Cargo pants/BDU, or fairly tight jeans. All carry without printing and are fine for what it is.......a pistol that is highly concealed but will be slower and more difficult to present if/when the time comes. Plus, I carry at least one extra loading device "under" the pistol (deep in the same pocket and under the gun) and one loading device in the other front pocket with my wallet. This is when the snubby is my "primary" weapon. When I carry (as is most often) a .45 on my hip in a IWB holster, then the reload for it is on the belt and the snubby is in my front pocket as backup with only one reload in the same pocket as the snubby.

I would say it would be easier to dress around a gun that you are comfortable using, than finding a gun that fits your clothes.
Saying that, I can carry a Rossi 351 (.38) in my front pocket in work slacks with no problems. It's a little heavy, but manageable. I just make sure to check pockets on clothes before I buy them to make sure they are big enough.

I recently purchased a Detective Special which has become by primary carry gun. I can carry it comfortably in the front pocket of my dress pants or 5.11 shorts, and IWB at 4 PM in my High Noon Public Secret holster. The grips of the Detective Special are perfectly sized for my hands. The 2.5 inch barrel is easy to point and I can shoot just as fast and accurately as with a semiautomatic pistol. IMO, the only drawback of the revoler is the capacity of six rounds, which I supplement with a speed loader.

Since I would prefer a stainless steel revolver, I have considered the S&W Airweights, but I like don't like that they carry five rounds. It may be just a personal preference, but I prefer the double action of the Colt to Smith & Wesson. Probably for aesthetic reasons, I prefer my snubbie to have a spur hammer.

When it comes to selecting clothing, let me offer this advice to the ladies: don't rule out Lane Bryant.

After scoffing for years at the very notion of Lane Bryant --"Because it's the fat women's store!"-- my better half finally got fed up with not finding jeans to fit her. (She blames me for that, because she got pregnant on the honeymoon. )

Anyhoo, just this last year she decided to give them a try after seeing a show about their different sizes of jeans. They have a whole different sizing system based on body type, instead of just waist/inseam. Belly, no booty? Booty, no belly? Both? Neither? They have a very good system. They also offer proper bra fitting, and most ladies could use some professional guidance in that area.

Ignore the sticker price. With their specials and sales, they're very reasonable for what amounts to almost-custom-fitted. For a couple of hundred dollars each (spread over several weeks), my wife and daughter finally got bras and jeans that fit properly, along with very cute tops.

Don't forget the Colt Cobra and Detective.......both good purse/pocket wheel guns. Also, have a Ruger SP101, .357, a little heavier but stainless.
