Revolver
My daily carry is a Glock 27, however there are times where it's not possible to carry it due to clothes choices etc... I don't know a lot about revolvers but I am thinking about getting something that would be easy to pocket carry. I know there are many of you out there that carry them daily and I'm looking for some suggestions. Any input would be appreciated.
Re: Revolver
I pocket carry Tarus 85 Ultra Lite .38sp. It is good for defense ranges very lite & squares up nice w/ a homemade pocket holster

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

Re: Revolver
I find myself pocketing my S&W 642 most of the time during the summer months. Light and comforatble in a cheap Uncle Mike size 3 holster. It's packed with Remington 158 grain LSWCHP.

Re: Revolver
I carry a Taurus 605 from time to time as a backup, or ocasionally as a pocket or iwb primary.
I load it with .357 Gold Dot from Speer.

Re: Revolver
I pocket carry a Charter Arms .38sp, loaded with Hydra Shocks, non +p. Its in an Uncle Mikes pocket holster, so far no one has seen it in the pocket. This is for when something bigger is harder to carry. I also carry this as a 2nd gun sometimes.

Re: Revolver
I pocket carry a S&W 642 when my other pistols aren't convenient. I like it just fine, and I keep it stoked with 125 grain +P Remington Golden Sabers.

Re: Revolver
Here's another vote for the S&W 642. I load it with Speer Gold Dot 135+p's and carry in a Mika Round Cut (mostly) or a Desantis Nemesis (occassionally). I also carry one or two speed strips as reloads.
Re: Revolver
I have a Taurus 651 in titanium... it's almost as light as my wallet and shoots very well. That one isn't available anymore but several of the ultralite models are. For occasional carry, the Taurus ultralite models are perfect. Here is the link... but remember that the actual prices are much less than the MSRP on the website. Look them up at sportingarms.com for a good indicator of price.

The S&W 340 PD or the 340 M & P are nice. (but pricey)

Re: Revolver
Thanks for the input. I think I'll check out the ones suggested at the gun show this weekend.

Re: Revolver
I pocket carry a Glock 26 all the time....it is not a big deal. Try out a Mika's pocket holster.....they are cheap and break up the profile nicely.

The S&W M&P 340 is very nice!

Re: Revolver
When I don't want to or can't wear a sportcoat, I can easily carry my Detective Special in my pocket. You have the full 6 shots instead getting cut short by only 5 like with other modern snubbies. It's classic, accurate and has good action too.
Re: Revolver
For 8 years I have carried a S&W AirLite TI .38 (12 ounces) in an Uncle Mike pocket. In the wilderness areas of Colorado, I carry S&W 9mm semiauto OWB. My Taurus .357 is heavy and stays at bedside.
Re: Revolver
I really don't get how anyone finds a revolver more concealable. They're rather bulky.
