Good God Almighty! Don't today's editorialists - I mean "reporters" - Know how to do basic research any more?
It was a cop who said it was "high powered ammunition." Makes me wonder if the cop has an agenda.

An old-time reporter might have asked what "high powered" meant, but reporters have pretty demanding workloads these days.

Didn't anyone catch “little black pee shooter”? I'm hoping that this spelling came from the affidavit, and they're not talking about a squirt gun.

Wasn't there, don't know what happened, and news reports these days are notoriously inaccurate.

But it seems that in a lot of confrontations that go wrong, both sides contribute to the escalation. When I'm carrying (which is anywhere and everywhere I travel away from home where it's legal) I remind myself that I carry to defend my & my family's safety, not prop up my ego or defend my pride.

Several decades ago, one of the gun rags carried a story in which a friend of the writer said words to the effect of "You know, if I hadn't been carrying a gun, I would've punched that so-and-so right in the mouth!!!"

Words to ponder.

He must have had the "high-powered semi-automatic assault" Ruger LCP.

I have known people with the kind of personality that would not drop an argument, and were alive only because it would be illegal to kill them.

The only place I heard that he has a CHL was on KLBJ radio. Nothing I saw in any print media stories I read indicate he does.

Unfortunately for him, when he approached them again and pulled the gun, there became an affirmative defense for that bit of illegality.

Guy acting crazy, pointing a gun at unarmed people who aren't attacking him, threatening to "destroy" them, with his finger on the trigger? One warning at most, then things get loud.
