USAFA is a pretty cool place. Neatest thing to see up there is the noon formation on the terrazzo for lunch. All of the Cadet Squadrons form up and march in to the chow hall. I was stationed there for four years. The football games are great too. Especially when it is Army or Navy visiting. Always a flyover for the games and the Thunderbirds perform at graduation. You can usually see them practicing the day prior to graduation too.
FYI, you aren't allowed to carry there.

We are now in Amarillo. We left Pueblo this am and along the way several big bikers in Harley's passed us by and i noticed one of them lead guys had a tan pistol holster .I m pretty sure it was a pistol so that was it.
We drove down along I 25 to Wagon Mound, NM then took the backroads towards the east into the town of Logan. Boy , that place is so gorgeous with the grasslands to the sides. The land is also home to elks and deer. Super nice hunting grounds. No soul in sight for miles and miles. I love the NM landscape , it is so enchanting. I ve been to Red River and Questa area 11 yrs ago and that is one awesome place !!
hey , any one know s here where to hunt ellk for cheap in NM ? An outfiitter for a reasonable price, maybe ?I wish one of these days I can bag a bull elk. LOL
Great to be back in State of Texas.
