Another thumbs up for PK! I won't be attending this rally, but I've attended 3 and even got to sing in the men's choir one year. It is an incredible sight to see thousands of men get together, unashamed of God, and vow that they will be the men that God intended them to be for their families.
Just think how many of societies ills could be cured if more men did that.

My buddy Matt and I meet every year at PK. His church has an active men's group, and they will be attending. Anyone wishing to meet up and sit together this year post here. As the event nears we can make arrangements to meet at AAC.

My dad's going, I'm not sure if I am yet or not.
It was mentioned earlier that AAC is posted 30.06. Isn't it owned by the City of Dallas? if so that would make it a improper posting right?

Good idea txi. That would be a great opportunity for a lot here to meet. We pray together on the board & in PMs. Shake some hands & see some faces.

From the AAC FAQ:
Who operates the facility?
American Airlines Center is managed and operated by the Center Operating Company, which has a lease with the City of Dallas for 30 years, starting in 2001.
It does appear to be leased from the City, which to my simple mind means it is owned by the City.
However, they have metal detectors in place, and I imagine waiting until the day OF the event to make a point would not work.
I may make a phone call or two.

I have a call in to the Public Safety Manager at AAC. This should be interesting.

Please keep us informed. I haven't decided on going to PK this year or not, but this would be something interesting to watch. Hmmm...

Glad to see everyone still chasing after Jesus.
I obviously won't make the conference but my time up here in OK is awesome. I'm growing alot in Jesus. Not shooting much but thats ok I guess. We have an awesome group of people (about 70) living in real community its been life changing!
Hopefully I can tell you guys more later but I need to mail out support letters, eat dinner, and then do my reading...we are reading a ton of Bible and other books as well. It's really great. I post a story or two every week or so on my blog at
http://www.shakingthegates.com
I miss all you fella's and I hope that hte conference is nothing less than amazing and fresh for each you!!

PK is a life-changing event, nothing like being amoung a stadium full of men praising the Lord. I'm hoping to make it this year.

anybody hear back from AAC?
I'm going up with my dad and brother and several of my dads friends. I'm curious if I can carry there.

They won't return my calls (imagine that) But I did talk with a guy who has been. He claims unless it is a prohibited event like a professional sporting event, you notify a doorman you are a CHL person and they bring over the Police to check your CHL and in you go.
I ordered my tickets online and I hope they get here today.
