Now who was that quote from?
I know, its no fair if you google it.

It was Obama.
America has made mistakes, treated its Allies badly in a way (Freedom Fries?) Mistakes have been made.

Are you responding to your own posts?
I guess the only real mistake America made was allowing American lives to be lost SAVING Italy, France, etc.
Forgiving war debts. Producing the finest military weaponry available today and allowing our Allies the ability
to purchase same and even train their personnel here in the states. I guess America ALWAYS taking the lead in
assisting countries after they've suffered a major diasaster is a good reason to be anti-American.
Cut off foreign aid to countries that oppose us, get the U.S. out of the UN. Isolationist? Somewhat.
I will NEVER apologize for being an American.

The commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan went on national television Tuesday to apologize for a deadly airstrike, an extraordinary attempt to regain Afghans' trust while a mass offensive continues against the Taliban in the south.

Since I consider myself to be to the Right of Limbaugh, I don't know where that puts me!

Just for kicks...last night we had our training for the poll workers/judges. The room was divided Republican side and Democrat side. There were about 70 to each side. At first glance, I noticed that everyone on the R side was neat, physically attractive and dressed like a sunday meeting. The D side not so much and not a smile in the bunch. The R side was quiet, listening to the lectures and taking notes. The D side was so loud talking among themselves we could hardly hear. The D side had several people asking "why do we have to do such in such that way, that just seems too hard." The response was from the lecturer "because it is the law." Now I can imagine some like this on both sides...but this was consistent. I think it tells some things and I have determined what it told me, but you can decided what it tells if anything for you.

When I was in Europe for a week, there was no one on the train in Germany but us, and 1 native. He stunk. Therefore all german train users smell.

Or you just have some sloppy dems in your area.
Where I went the Dems were old and crusty, and the Rep were old and crusty. What does that say?

Certainly one of two of anything wouldn't show anything... but when it was all of each group, I thought odd. Keep in mind that these would not be run of the mill D's or R's, but the die hard of each group. I thought the talking, disruptiveness showed a general lack of respect and concern of law, just as the "why do we have to do that." The appearance to me said I need a nanny to care for me.

But you both came out there for the same reason, to get people to vote!

LOL, not hardly... I think the majority of the talking heads believe a portion of what they say, and the rest is to ride the conservative wagon. A great book for everyone to read would be the 5,000 Year Leap, and would help explain the what and the why of what is going on in America today.

That's interesting... You identify "America" with the Government?

I identify "America" with the country -- FAR more than just the Government.

I am proud of our Country (America) and our Flag. The government (at least the current government), not so much.
