Glad to hear they took care of you, I haven't sent back my DB380 .... but only because I havn't had any trouble with it.
I use MagTech Guardian Gold 85 grain +P or Buffalo Bore FP 100 Grain +P and some OLD Corbon +P in a white box
I figure since it is locked breech and most of my other 380s are blowbacks, I'll stick with higher pressure heavier ammo if I can, to approach closer to "low pressure" 9mm ballistics

I had bad luck with one +P (That new CORBON DPX stuff) brand in all my .380s, got mad and scared about my DB380, but then tried in other guns, even in my Taurus PT58/NAA Guardian and AMT Backup would not make it up the feed ramp in any of them... the ammo was out of spec, too long overall length, so I tossed that ammo.

I got a Hogue Handall JR and put it on my DB380 upside Down pushed it all the way up, and trimmed a little for the mag release and trigger guard. I like it even better now. ZA01XX(edited to correct the S.N.)

I like Remington 88gr jhp in my AMT, it's the only one my AMT feeds reliably

I noticed your original post was Apr 26, and good range report on April 30th .... So, I assume you had already sent it when posting originally? ...How long did they keep it?

DB380 - just returned from factory, light lube At 15'
Winchester 92gr fmj - full box
With extended mag base
First 5 - perfect !!!
Second 5 - perfect!!!
Third 5 - perfect
Fourth 5 - perfect!!!
Fifth 5 - bad primer ?! (first I've seen, dented) - cycled, and after 2 more, 1 fte (looked like a little bit of case swelling)
Sixth 5 - perfect
Seventh 5 - perfect
Eight 5 - perfect
Ninth 5 - perfect
Tenth 5 - perfect

Now realize what other posts were saying about first round ftf - if pistol is dry fired between chambering the first round of the next magazine, then (and ONLY then) it jams on load catching the firing pin - head this and ZERO problems feeding first round...

At 15'
Remington 88gr jhp
First 5 - perfect - flashy load
Second 5 - perfect
With regular mag
Third 5 - perfect
like these rounds

At 15'
PMC Bronze 92gr fmj
First 5 - perfect
Second 5 - perfect
Third 5 - fte, cleared then good

Great range report, shot like a different gun, on the DB380 - factory did a great job on mine - still awaiting repair summary though - only thing I noticed after shooting was that the forward trigger pin had worked it's way maybe a 32nd of an inch out to the right side - and readily tapped that back in...
Also pulled out the Taurus 380 while i was shooting...

Taurus TCP - light lube
At 15'
Regular mag
PMC bronze 92gr fmj
First 5 - perfect
Second 5 - perfect
Third 5 - perfect

This was a good range experience on BOTH guns !!! especially my DB380 ZA130X

yes - the turnaround was amazing - shipped out 2day on April 20th and received back on the 29th - so they wasted no time - it felt like a new gun when i hit the range given all the problems i'd had beforehand - really glad to see the serial number on yours is all the way up into the 9,000s !!! mine, ZA130X, really was an early one then compared to yours - saw a few DB380s for sale at gun show today and the highest sn i saw was ZA380X - even saw a couple nickel finished ones...

anyways, picked up some good priced ammo and will be back in the range this week - then need to settle on a good carry round for it...

btw http://www.diamondbacktalk.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; appears to be growing as a potential community for the DB380

RPB - You sure its ZA91xx?
I just received a shipment of DB380's and they are in the ZA57xx range and am told they are just breaking into ZA60xx.

Sorry about that, I just slid the Hogue grip up and looked again, it's ZA01XX
Guess my fat fingers hit the 9 instead of the 0
(Usually I suspect my eyes, but it was my fat fingers that time)
