I have been to Mel's in Tomball several times, never seen Lyle, but they do have some great burgers and fries
. I haven't been in awhile because their portions are generous and it was expanding my waistline.

That OK! Fortunately my Dad retired and moved to Fredericksburg, so that will be the base of some riding in the future.TxA wrote:I'll recommend Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls. Nice ride and nice eats. Especially the pie!!!
Edit - sorry, but in retrospect, looks like I failed the 150 mile constraint! MF is about 200...![]()
Great pie though!!!

We did the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church BBQ in Huntsville ride today. Excellent choice... thanks bci21984 for the recommendation.
Rode from League City to Cleveland, and then to New Waverly through the Sam Houston National Forest. After lunch we headed east to Oakhurst, down to Coldspring, back through Cleveland and home. Only question I have is "Where was that sunshine that was in the forecast for today!?"

Karl's at the Riverbend, off FM 723 in Richmond.
AMAZING food, and an extensive wine list. Great prices for the quality of food. Upscale dining, but a very casual atmosphere.
The menu is great, but Karl typically has 3-4 specials that aren't on the menu as well.
I recommend the Beef Wellington and the Wild Boar and Bourbon Pate.
