It is a forced buy back of AW and other semi-automatics for $500 with any remaining guns (whatever is not covered in the forced buyback) being registered if you wanted to keep them. She wants to include pushing for limits on caliber, making all firearms transfers go through FFL, and more. Wow, the comments section below that story had guys--a couple id'd them selves as veterans--that were talking civil war with military support. They were arguing with a particularly snotty liberal and it had gone all the way down hill from there. I would not have put in print the things they were saying. Sorry, back to the subject of the thread now.
Hmm, if it's $500 no matter what, I'm sure I can find someone with a machine shop and we can make a couple hundred or so crude semis for $50 a piece and make a nice profit :evil2:

That is a better scheme than the one the thieves will come up with. It will be open season on you and your family in the race for them to steal them and sell them before you can. You may as well be made crocodile bait. Shouldn't Feinstein be worried a lot of poor misguided disadvantaged and misunderstood members of our society will die or be injured while busting in our doors? Or maybe that is just one of the unvoiced goals--protection not of the innocent, but of the jackals.

So couldnt make my mind up and after discussing it with my other half, she came up with the genius idea of getting them both! "Yes ma'am!" She had actually been wanting the 92fs for herself so she grabbed it and I got the p226. Today we ventured out to the gun show again to make it happen and while it was not as crazy as last weeks it was still quite busy. Unfortunately pricing was up across the board and both were higher than I wanted to pay, but I did not come home empty handed. I picked up a Glack 26 for $500 and 500 rounds of 40 for $120 as well as a couple extra mags for various pistols. The day did not end there though as she recommended we just check Cabelas as we had some points credit to spend and she had an email for employee pricing. Well, that was a great idea! I walked out of there with the 226 for only $709, the stainless version of the 92fs for $675 and to top it off we snagged a Bushmaster .223 polymer carbine for only $645! Yes, we found an AR for less than retail pricing! Apparently someone had it on lay away before all this mess and didnt take it out. As we walked up to the counter they were pulling it from the back and I simply asked for it, they said its yours! Couldnt believe it myself, still cant. Anyways, it was a good day and just for fun I took a pic of them all once we got home (sorry for the quality, crappy phone pic). I just hope they make it through the rafting trip we are taking tomorrow ;)

Nice score and nice 92FS. I have the "blued" version (think Beretta calls it "parkerized"). Awesome gun. Very accurate, easy to disassemble and clean and very reliable. Mine has been trouble free after a few thousand rounds. Yes, it's true that the early versions of the 92FS had slide failures, but Beretta fixed that long ago. Go to berettaforum.net for more info on them.

I don't understand the beretta. I mean, isn't it a national security risk to produce arms for our army in another country? I think all arms for america should be produced in america for national security reasons.... it's only common sense. oops! i just forgot that common sense is very uncommon in washington!
