School closed, stayed home cleaning guns and dishes today. I didn't even try to get out earlier, but will go out for some dinner in a bit. I've never really had any trouble getting out before and this "storm" seems pretty mild compared to some others we've had in the past.

Yep. Been watching the forecast all day long from work. May not be any school til Thursday.
We had a about an inch of sleet on the ground today. Got to work before it got bad. Had one other employee make it in and the two of us ran the store all day. We closed a couple of hours early so we could get home before dark. Three other employees felt they couldn't safely make it. Business was slow anyway. The same two of us will do the same again tomorrow. Opening late and closing early again. Pretty easy for me to get there as it's less than a mile. I expect the owner may try to get in later tomorrow. For Wednesday's snow forecast, we will make that decision tomorrow.

Didn't have any trouble getting over to Los Lupes in Carrollton last night and just about had the place to ourselves. No problems getting home either. School closed again today, so I'll clean something else.

Got to work okay this morning but it sure was slick. The two of us ran the store all day again. Most of the ice melted this afternoon but the wet roads will refreeze tonight. They gave me tomorrow off....provided that any one else can get in through the forecast snow event tonight. We'll see :waiting: The hazards of living very close to work.

Got to report for my night watch 0000-0800 tonight. I'm going to take my g/f to work and pick her up in the morning. I hope I-20 will be decent and no wrecks to hold me up. I also should be asleep right now.

Weather for my area says snow starting around 1am. I'm afraid it's going to be slick come 8am. Be safe everyone.
