Put your iPhone in a bag of uncooked white rice and set it aside on something warmish, like the top of your cable TV box. It will take about 2 days, but your iPhone will be fine. My wife dropped hers in mixing bowl full of water in the sink and we thought it had killed it. We followed this remedy, and 2 days later, her phone worked like new.

7 days and counting still no luck with it coming back... I bought a new phone- so if it does miraculously come back to life, I'll keep it for an extra, for the next catastrophe!

It's probably worth noting, success of the "rice" trick (as well as all of the other drying out methods) is reduced dramatically if the phone is powered on before it's dried out.

I thought the issue with oil and ammo is with the primers. I thought some types of oil (penetrating oil) will deactivate the primers.
I might try to get some distilled or clean water and flush the gun first just to make sure all the chlorine and other stuff are gone. Chlorine is very bad for stainless steel and chrome. Then try something to displace any water that might be in there. I guess you could also look at some place that was warm/hot where any internal moisture you can't get to would evaporate would evaporate. It is summer, leave the gun on the dashboard of your car on a sunny afternoon.
