I understood from ESPN this afternoon that it was told by an attorney representing Manziel the indictment is expected to be announced Tuesday, a Class A assault charge of some kind.

Manziel has stunk up the joint so badly I feel sorry for the Browns wasting all that money, and even the Aggies to whom he must be an excruciating embarrassment.

I haven't felt this sorry for the Aggies since someone caught the Animal Husbandry majors and made them quit it!

Parenting does play a very small factor into how he is handling things now, but He is solely responsible for his actions. He has yet to take accountability for that. Hopefully this assault charge will snap his head back in place. If not, he is in for a long ride of pain and destruction, that one day he will have to clean up.

I know this from experience.

I don't feel badly for the Browns at all. They did their part in Manziel's lack of success (or insert name of other QB's they have brought in). Cam Newton would have been a bust if they had drafted him instead. As for this specific case, I have no idea since I don't know what happened. Outside of all that, yes, he does appear to be his own worst enemy in his behavior and his choice of friends.

Sorry, I can't agree that someone else would have been a bust. NFL is a business, a very competitive one, where players are there for pay checks and endorsement deals, and they take it seriously. If you don't, as Manziel didn't, you stink pretty quick and folks don't want any part if it. Had Manziel showed up, watched the film, did the drills, worked on staying in the best shape he could be in, worked to prove that he had the talent and drive and purpose to be a Brady or a Fouts or a Marino, got to bed on time, stayed mostly sober, and avoided lying to teammates and management, it might have worked out better.
