I purchased
safety glasses and
stick on bifocal lenses. I applied a stick on to my dominant/right lens and nothing to the left.
Not as good as prescription but an acceptable alternative in the short term. I need the readers but still ok in the distance, or good enough distance vision for now...
Gettin' old requires intelligence, guile, finesse, fitness, and exceptional strategy and tactics.
Paraphrasing, never mess with an old guy who has managed to live a long time in a young-guy's world.
The Hydrotac Stick-on Bifocal Lenses, just add water to adhere...not for me.

Add water to adhere similar to automotive window tint film for instance.
I offer that not as a superior choice to what you recommended but as a quick and inexpensive alternative.

My wife actually puts a band-aid on her trigger finger. We have been thinking about having an after market trigger installed. Otherwise, we both love the P938!

I've worn bifocals for many years, and I just focus on the target for a second, then focus on the front sight and place it on the slightly blurry target at distance up to 30 feet. This works for me with a .38 snubnose or 9mm semi-auto.

- Ask the optometrist if he/she can also record your pupillary distance (PD); a vital measurement. Many don't; they leave that up to the dispensing optician. But if you can get it now, it will allow you the option of online ordering...which can be much cheaper, for example http://www.zennioptical.com/; I have three of theirs and have been satisfied...at costs of up to 300% less than local brick-and-mortar.
- Go to your selected dispensing optician and ask for single-vision glasses with the dominant eye in the "special" value, and the non-dominant in your regular full-distance prescription.

Prices 300% less!
I feel like I'm stealing at just a 100% discount.

I've been ordering from them for years. I started getting a back-up pair and was so impressed I used them for all our glasses.
