Ted Nugent has more than a 1/4 acre.
Ted's ranch near Waco is abour 300 acres. He mentioned it when he was on Anthony Bordain's "No Reservations".
I think the one in Michigan is around 1-2,000 acres.
Plus, I live on 1/3 of an acre. I guess I can officially be considered living on a compound.

I think y'all missed my point regarding the 1/4 acre

Yeah his "ranch" or "compound" (in liberal media speak every guy who likes guns and lives on more than 1/4 of an acre is in a "compound") is around the Waco area.
I meant that any parcel of land more than 1/4 acre is considered a "compound" by the liberal media - and as we all know "compounds" are scary places where redneck gun nuts stockpile machine guns and explosives.
obviously Nuge has A LOT more than 1/4 acre

I gotcha. My yard is fenced in, too. I guess mine's a fortified position, as well.

Yeah, and I didn't even know that until he said "my governor" shot a coyote, and I knew he had to be talking about Perry.
I always heard him called "the Motor City Madman," so I guess he's from Detroit. I had no idea where he was living now.
Yeah his "ranch" or "compound" (in liberal media speak every guy who likes guns and lives on more than 1/4 of an acre is in a "compound") is around the Waco area. And he's a McLennan County reserve constable I believe, in addition to being a reserve sheriff in Michigan? He is originally from Michigan and even hinted at one point about running for governor there.
Yup, somwhere near waco. If you haven't read his book "Ted,White and Blue" you should. My favorite part was when he mentions that while writing for it one morning a shipment of a pallet of ammo had just shown up. Ammo by the pallet!! What a guy!! He does make mention of his law enforcement positions, but also that he does call Texas home, but still has his place in Michigan to hunt the northern species.
I believe he has more than a quarter acre in both states for hunting purposes, and that the Texas land gets a good bit of use for hog hunting with vets by guides that are friends of Ted's. Again, I highly suggest the book.
AustinRealtor -- This is where I got the 1/4 acre, from bigmoney's post. Perhaps he was just referring to your .25 acre quote, but it seemed strange that anybody could hunt on a piece of property referenced as "more than a quarter acre." Well, unless Uncle Ted was hunting the ferocious field mouse! (Perhaps he was hunting with a sling shot?

)

You're right I misread, or at least my mind wondered while writing this, which is a trait that seems to run in the family. I need to remember to reread things before leading people astray. my appologies. as i generally say to my family when their thoughts run wild... SQUIRREL

Referencing the statement, "...(in liberal media speak every guy who likes guns and lives on more than 1/4 of an acre is in a "compound") ..."
