From what I read, not knowing Gunny, I would assume his freedom to make a choice was swayed by $$$. Sounds like Gunny is on Glockstxinvestigator wrote:SO just because a guy likes guns I have to keep shut about his spreading of myths and propaganda?O6nop wrote:Cracks me up!
Here we got a guy, hitting the nail on the head about 2A rights and gun ownership, and most of the posters here are getting down on Gunny for his choice of firearms! He prefers a Glock. So what? I know it's all tongue-in-cheek but I think we have enough problems without creating more divisions, before you know it we'll have labels like "anti-1911" or "Pro-Glock".
I haven't been around guns enough to see anything "drag", but let the guy have the freedom to make a reasonable choice.
I saw no one "getting down on" Gunny.
BTW, he HAS the freedom to make a choice, just as WE have the freedom to comment about it and discuss it.
Did we read the same article? From what I read, not knowing Gunny, I would assume his freedom to make a choice was swayed by $$$. Sounds like Gunny is on Glocks

When Glock approached me, I was also approached by about half the gunmakers in America — all of them wanted me to represent their product. I said, “Well, ya know, I won’t represent something that I don’t use myself, number one, and some of these weapons I haven’t even tried out, so how can I tell somebody to go buy something I don’t know if I’d buy.
So, I got handguns from everybody and shot them. I found which one I liked the best and the one I felt was the best weapon. That’s the people I decided to go with and it just happened to be Glock.
Thurman:
So, during your test and evaluation, Glock came out number one?
The Gunny: It did indeed.
