The details are what they are. Technically, the 'pranksters' are committing aggravated assault by their own actions. The condition of the 'victim' doesn't factor. With the available information I can't say what I'd do if I came up on the scene & saw it happen. I carry a gun for my own protection & that of my family. So I wouldn't be inclined to intervene unless there was an overwhelming factor in the chain of events.bdickens wrote:I don't think I would, either. But I do know it would have happened only once.
But just change a couple of details and think about how that might affect use-of-force in this story.
What if the victim was had a heart or other health condition that made him much more vulnerable?
What if you witnessed the incident and were aware of the health problems of the victim?
What if it was a criminal using the tazer in an attempted robbery?
