It may be worthwhile to point out that the original concept is similar to a state law passed in California and signed by the governator but implementation delayed by the courts.

I'm also curious on your data that "stores" are where bad guys get their ammo. Wheres the evidence for that, or is it just anecdotal?
Why don't you justify why you think it should be tracked, and then maybe I'll justify why people should stop suggesting ways to step their jackboot on what few rights I seem to have left.

I don’t understand the fixation with ‘how and where the bad guys get their guns and ammo’. There has never been a preemptive law that has worked (unless the goal was to make criminals of, otherwise, law abiding citizens).Instead, concentrate on making it easier for the ‘Good Guys’ to get weapons, ammo and training.

They would have to check on reloading supplies, brass from ranges, anything that could melt lead, gun powder etc... where there is a will there is a way.

No. All it would be is another useless EXPENSIVE govt. program that would have a greater negative effect on the law obiding citezens rather than the group that it was intended for.
