I bet you wish you still had that car... no matter the brand or model, it would fetch a nice chunk of change at a car auction.
Do tell... I don't want to be jealous. Please don't say it was a Ford Mustang...LOL. Just for fun... what was it?

Um, Jim, shouldn't that be 24/7/52? (or 24/365?)

Maybe he takes it off to scratch a Seven Year Itch.

I put one on my wifes car and have been thinking about taking it off due to the likelyhood of it advertising to a would be low life that there is something in there they want. I'm about to have a 84f chevy truck and the outside is beat up a bit and its about 4 different colors I think ill leave any sort of stickers off it to keep it in thne grey especially since I will not be able to carry into work and I'm in a very busy area the least appealing it is the better.

Yeah, my girlfriend wrecked it and darned near killed me in the process. A '66 Ford Custom 500, just about as plain as they come, fleet grey with a red interior, black wall tires, the truck 6 cylinder engine and a beefed up transmission for trailer towing (factory upgrades). The person that ordered it that way had decided to upgrade to a wagon, so this one sat on the showroom floor. $2186.32 out the door, I bet it might fetch a thousand or so.
Another volunteer fireman bought one just like it, and a couple of weeks later my parents sat me down for a lecture: "Gary is your friend and a fellow firemen"; "Phyllis is pretty but . . ."; and I couldn't figure out what the heck they were talking about. It seems they had noticed that my car was parked in front of Gary and Phyllis' house all day every day, when I was supposed to be at school. Same car, same fireman's hat in the back window (remember when there were shelves back there?) and the same blue light on the roof (the FD got them, package deal) but mine had a six foot fuzzy pink snake run across the back window (a carnival prize) and his didn't.
Had a "Slingerlands Volunteer Fire Department" sticker where the Ford dealer's logo had been, but as I was a "family member" of the NRA, I didn't have that sticker to put on there.

Can you imagine what you could get for that car in good condition these days??? Oh man!!!
The fuzzy snake would have to go.

I thought of leaving it just 24/7, or 24/365, but neither had the poetic feel of 24/7/365.

A long story attaches to that snake, which rode in my car until I married my first wife, at which time it moved to the shelf over my workbench, where mice made a nest in it.

Very good point!
My membership in NRA is not a secret nor am I ashamed of it. As far as BG/thieves go, I want them to think that there might be a gun in the vehicle and that old, unfriendly and surly lookin' guy lookin' at me would probably use it....if they think anything at all.

I display my NRA sticker on my Bronco. I like to show that nice, normal (debatable I suppose), guys belong to the NRA. I have never worried about theft as I don't keep guns in my personal truck, but I do carry a rifle in my work truck, which has no stickers or decals on it of any kind. A friend of mine, who does professional metal work is fabricating a custom steel lock box for the back of my Bronco, in which I plan to keep my Ak-47. It won't make for real fast access, but will be tough to break into in a parking lot. I don't worry too much about my truck getting stolen, I try to just park it next to a nice late model dually when I can. I figure if a thief has the option, they will go for the nice truck over my old beater. I have a good security system that kills the engine and locks down the hood, which combined with the age/value of my vehicle should make it a no go for any semi-respectable thief.

A secondary and probably better reason for no sticker is that I see no benefit from advertising I have guns, on me or in my home. Think about it for a minute. Would anyone display a sticker that said "cash collector" , "diamond carrier", "gold horders society". How about a sticker showing the name brand of a high priced car stereo system? Not me, that is for sure. Heck, I am hesitant in mentioning weapons I own on this forum. I see folks in here listing their whole collection in their signature. What is that all about?
Nope...NRA stickers typically equals gun owner. Gun owner equals high opportunity theft. Just make sure you sneak up and knock the guy out first or rip him off while he is out.
This - as far as my DDs go. My Jeep, which is mainly a trail/weekend ride is another story. But there are never any guns in it except those on my person.
