NRA: Sticker - Do you use it?
I finally signed up for a one year today ($10 off through Crossfire Training). Walking around my neighborhood today, I noticed two neighbors who had the NRA sticker on the back of their vehicles (both of which I never thought would own guns..but that's my mistake). My question is simple. Do you all have the NRA sticker on the back of your vehicle?
I own a 2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD and the only sticker I have on my back window is a lovely Texas Rangers sticker! Do I dare put the NRA sticker on or is this just asking for someone to break into my car?

Do you keep a gun in your car 24/7?
I personally don't have any political or NRA stickers on my car, just because I don't think it's anyones business driving down the street that I'm a gun loving, rightwing libertarian.

Since I am waiting on my plastic, I am forced to carry one of my pistols in my truck with me wherever I go. When I am at work, it's in my truck. When I am at home, it comes inside with me. NRA sticker or not, I would never leave my gun in my truck overnight.
As for your other comment....I prefer to let all the Californians and New Yorkers that have moved to Texas that I am 100% rightwing. I like to let them know "this is our town".

I even took the dealership sticker off my car. Don't want anything on it that makes it stand out from the crowd.

The sticker is on my tool cabinet in the garage, I am not a fan of placing any stickers on my vehicles. Like others I remove the dealership emblems as well, if I am going to be a rolling advertisment then I want to be compensated for it.

So, the poll seems fairly one sided so far...
I wonder if any effect would be gained from a bunch of people deciding to add NRA stickers in terms of acceptance of 2A rights, etc. From the poll as stands (90% saying no) We could increase the number of NRA stickers out there by a significant margin.
Oh, and what do you do with them if you don't put them on your car? I've got at least one on a toolbox, and several in a drawer somewhere.

No, I don't put my NRA sticker on the truck.
1. I need to fly under the radar with my employer. I carry at work although it's forbidden by company rules.
2. I don't need anyone breaking into my truck anytime, especially outside 30.06 sites.

Re: NRA: Sticker - Do you use it?
I don't put any kind of advertisements on my vehicle. A secondary and probably better reason for no sticker is that I see no benefit from advertising I have guns, on me or in my home. Think about it for a minute. Would anyone display a sticker that said "cash collector" , "diamond carrier", "gold horders society". How about a sticker showing the name brand of a high priced car stereo system? Not me, that is for sure. Heck, I am hesitant in mentioning weapons I own on this forum. I see folks in here listing their whole collection in their signature. What is that all about?
Nope...NRA stickers typically equals gun owner. Gun owner equals high opportunity theft. Just make sure you sneak up and knock the guy out first or rip him off while he is out.

I guess I am the Lone Ranger here. I have both the NRA and a TSRA sticker on my truck . I don't mind people knowing what I blieve in.
I find it hilarious that a majority of you thought the tagging of vehicles at Skeet Shoots was bogus and know think an NRA sticker makes you a target for being ripped off. I also have a Mercury sticker on my truck, mainly because I am compensated for it by Mercury (outboards) by being on their ProTeam. I doubt anybody that sees that sticker thinks they are gonna be able to break into my truck and find a 225hp Mercury Pro XS.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think some of you are way over-thinking this. All in all it sure isn't helping promote our gun rights.
