No kidos on either side. So in the clear on that one.WTR wrote:If there are children involved, I would be very hesitant to remarry. I have seen blended marriages succeed and I have seen disasters were children were used as pawns by both parties. I have also seen ex spouses try to sabotage the new marriage ( usually using the poor kids). So frankly, I would be veer cautious.

I told mine the same thing, and continue to tell her that, but I think a woman's mind works totally different from a man's. I don't expect her to know what I'm thinking if I don't tell her, but she thinks that I should be able to read hers, just because of the time we have spent together. I repeatedly tell her "my psychic ability is on the fritz, you will just have to tell me".Vol Texan wrote:As I told my wife early in our relationship, "Subtle hints don't work. Straightforward slap subtly....got it, clear as mud.Vol Texan wrote:As I told my wife early in our relationship, "Subtle hints don't work. Direct hints don't work. Just tell me what's on your mind".
I still think it's best if he asks you, rather than the other way around, but it may be up to you to slap him into reality with some straightforward talk about it.
Subtly, of course

Yeah I get a lot of those also, men are very simple creatures, if we aren't talking, it's because we have nothing to say, we are not mad, we are not brooding, and we don't know you want us to say something, and we sure don't know what we are supposed to say. We are capable of carrying on a long conversation, but we have trouble changing directions in the middle of it because our significant other, "thought" of something else and left us in the dark. We are linear thinkers, and follow a point to a logical conclusion, women are circular thinkers and may eventually get back the point, but there will be a lot of detours.TexasTornado wrote:Jusme wrote:I told mine the same thing, and continue to tell her that, but I think a woman's mind works totally different from a man's. I literally sent him an email last time I was upset that started...
"Yes me writing because I'm sad and it's not fair to ask you to try to figure out the quagmire that is the emotions of the female heart and mind."
Then proceeded with 5 paragraphs explaining exactly what was wrong (in short that I miss him) and how much I love him.
