You can start hunting game animals on Sept. 1st with silencers. All other rules apply.

Overwhelming support for this was felt by the Texas Department of Wildlife. 3,500 emails in support and 350 opposing is what I'm hearing.

The Houston meeting I attended there were no public attendees opposing the issue. All were there in support of this.
That's what still baffles me :headscratch

So it will be lawful to hunt with a device it is prohibited/illegal to possess or transport, though you have a defense to prosecution of that illegal thing if registered NFA

I mean .... they need to update the Penal Code and UN-prohibit inanimate object "tools"
I'm already on that. For example :http://www.texasguntalk.com/forums/clas ... 013-a.html is my post on another forum.

Honestly too much apathy here to pursue further on this forum. If you'd like to keep up to date check arfcom or tgt.
Many here hunt and are interested in this topic. However, the main focus on this forum IS Concealed carry, license, laws etc that pertain to that subject.
Maybe just apathy with this particular thread? Many folks here also visit other gun forum's, and, TGT or THF or ARF might be better choices for the indepth discussions you seek.

We expanded our subject matter far beyond CHL and related issues. We did so somewhat reluctantly I must admit, but it has worked out well.
