Texas Floods: Anyone Affected?

Post by Vol Texan »

Do y’all know if any of our TexasCHLForum members have been affected by the Hill Country floods?
Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
When those fail, aim for center mass.

I cannot imagine the pain to lose a little daughter like this.

My heart is broken for these parents.

Not directly affected, but my wife's coworker's daughter was rescued by helicopter. The girl is physically ok, but traumatized.

I received notice on my company retiree FB page a co-worker of mine and his wife were both victims. Bodies were recovered. My son-in-law is a Captain in the Canyon Lake Fire/ESD and is certified swift water rescue and rescue boat as well. The department sent teams, but he was down in on the Frio on vacation. He has had told me stories of some of his rescues and recoveries and the saddest are always children. Continuing prayers for all those who lost loved ones and friends. I think of those who may have no family or others to miss their absence who may have been on the river and lost and will never be known. We can only hope action will be taken to prevent another tragedy such as this.
