Sig P239 Question

Post by WildBill »

I was shooting my Sig Sauer P239 .40S&W yesterday and noticed that after slidelock my magazines sometimes don't completely drop when I press the release button. When the slide is closed they drop with no problem.

I took the grips off to see if anything was dirty or hanging up. I noticed that when the slide is open the mainspring is compressed and bows a little. It looks like it may be hitting the back of the magazine and the increased friction from the mainspring is causing the magazine to hang up.

I have searched a couple other forum and have noticed some comments about the Sig P220. Can any one shed some light on this. And maybe a solution? :???:

mrvmax - Thanks for the suggestion about the SigForum. I posted the question yesterday and already got several things to try.
