The Cz-52 and TT-33 are technically ineligible for the shooting proficiency test, because 7.62x25 is smaller than .32 caliber.

The .32 ACP is called a 7.65 mm Browning in Europe and the rest of the world. A .32 revolver is actually a .30 - .31 caliber. I think the 7.62 X 25 would qualify as a .32.

Yes, one guy was shooting a P-38 when I took my first class.

Curio and relic handguns . I met one woman at a gunshow who said she used her CZ 52 to qualify. " I put tiny circles on the target." SHe said it s the one she keeps in her car . I guess if one is good at it, why not. I personally like the CZ 52. It takes a while to get used to how the grip feels. ANd its a flame thrower too.

.32 bullet diameter is .309, and 7.62x25 is .307.

I think it's a silly limitation. For starters, ".32 caliber" isn't even defined; does it mean .32 ACP? .32 S&W? .32 S&W Long? .32 H&R Magnum? The revolver calibers use .312-.315 diameter bullets.

Second, it's silly because the 7.62x25 obviously out-powers any of the various .32 caliber rounds.

For an even better example, look at the FiveseveN 5.7x28.

Yes. I was shooting one.

At the time, my PA-63 was the only handgun I owned. It was also my carry rig for a while, and is what I carry when I can't conceal my Hi-Power.

They're good guns, you simply need to learn what works with them. Hornady XTP rounds work very well in mine. I've also treated mine with Microlon Gun Juice. It feeds even smoother, and it takes about 1/4 the time and effort to clean. One of the caveats of the gun are that the DA trigger pull is very heavy, (I've seen people report anywhere between 18 and 25 lbs.) and some people can't use it effectively in DA. About half the people I take shooting for the first time can't get the DA trigger pulled. Plinking ammo is a little expensive unless you find the occasional surplus deals and stock up. Carry ammo is about the same as anything else... although the only commercial modern JHP loads made for it are Hornady XTP.
