So we are headed out to see the Halloween program after brunch at Rey's place today. Anyone know if they are posted at the Meyerson?

Nope, not posted. Couple of TABC Blue signs, but nothing else.

I tell ya, I don't know what happened, but Blake was an almost perfect angel. Didn't make a sound and sat thru almost all of it beautifully. I don't think he is a fan of Piano, or maybe it is Stravinski in general, he didn't like it... A little old lady came by afterwards and said not to worry about it, nobody likes that piece, lol....

We're now season ticket holders :-D

If you mean Igor Stravinsky, his work makes my skin crawl.

I'm a big fan of Rimsky-Korsakov and Mussorgski, and just to keep it on-topic, Tchaikovsky.

Yup,
Good ole Igor. Today was Beethoven's Nos. 1 and 2, with Stravinski's Concerto for Fiano and Winds in between. The Concerto actually gave me a headache there right in the middle of the third movement. I know he is a world famous composes, but I think he went overboard on trying to suprose his audience. It just sounds like the whole thing is off key to me.

We (I) am REALLY looking forward to B's 9th with full 230 member choral. That will be some powerful stuff...

This is the first time I have had the opportunity to hear all of Beethoven's Symphonys in chronological order in a short time frame. It is supposed to make it much easier to understand and appreciate the progression of his pieces.

I am thinking about finding a babysitter for No. 9, because I want to fully enjoy it, that means I will have an extra ticket :-)

And to keep it on topic, whenever I got up from the narrow seats on the orchestra floor, my gun keep catching under the non-movable armrest. We now have a box with wider seats :-) There, still on topic.
