My daughter was watching one of those cute but vapid, entertaining but totally implausible, crime dramas today. "Crossing Jordan", I think it was.

While trying to figure out whodunit, one of the main characters exclaimed, "So how do you account for the fact that he was shot with a Colt 1911, a pistol that's only carried by elite government security specialists?" (Or something like that... I was guffawing too hard to get an exact quote!)

Maybe I can consider myself an elite clone since I sold my last real colt in the 70's. (and yes 30 years later I am still kicking myself over it)

A few friends at work got a rubber 1911 and mounted a PDA on top right in the sight line as a joke for my B-day last year. (Guess you had to be there)

It's a black Barney Fife. This sounds almost like a line for line barney scene from Andy Griffith....I half expect Andy to stand up and extend his palm for the DEA Agent to hand him the pistol
