has anyone seen this before and if so does it work. supposed to be for glocks.

No thanks and no need. I got the picture of trying to disengage the thing while being attacked. Keep the gun holstered and know how to return it to the holster safely. Seems it would cause more problems than solve. That is my opinion.

+1. It seems as if the inventor is well-intentioned, but he's trying to scratch an itch that doesn't exist. Maybe a first cousin to this: http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ ... r+GLOCK%7e

But ..... each person has their own perceived needs as far as personal weaponry goes. All I can say is that the trigger with the second trigger safety and the aluminum or steel frame for a Glock is not for me.

I index my booger hook, that's my safety. And yes I carry a Glock.

Yes, I've seen it. I believe it's a disaster waiting to happen. Disengage a safety by putting your finger on the trigger? No thanks!

You guys are forgetting something very important. The only kind of guns that the gun ban movement likes are guns that either don't work at all or guns that are useless for anything other than playing games.

That's how I would classify this "enhancement".

So-called "smart guns" are another variation on this theme. Cops don't want them for a variety of (sound) tactical reasons. But the gun ban lobby loves them (even though they don't exist yet) because in theory they make guns less useful for self defense.

(PS: That's another type of gun that the gun ban lobby loves - guns that do not exist.)

As time goes on and by increments the "legitimate" use of guns is confined to sports, they can begin to argue that guns are simply too dangerous to society to allow for this kind of sporting activity and so we should simply ban them.

This is the path that the UK followed, and that Canada and Australia (and others) are headed down as we write this.

Bottom line: Don't anybody go holding their breath waiting for cops to fit their Glocks with this feature.
