Hello all,
First it is rare that I carry inside the wasteband with a holster. Typically it it is outside the wasteband with a hip holster or shoulder holster under a sport coat, suit or jacket. BUT when riding my bike or outdoor work, I don't often have that option (unless it is a cool day and I can put a windbreaker on) or am going to a party without a coat.
I then put the gun inside the wasteband with a holster clipped to my pants under my belt. I then tuck my shirt in over the gun and around the holster, fluffing it over my belt all the way around to cover the clip somewhat.
When I carried a cell phone holder, I would often put that on my belt over the clip to hide it. (the cell phone holder broke). if the clip was seen it would merely appear to be a part of the cell phone holder.
Now, I just got a dump pouch. It seems to me that I could now slip that on on my belt over where the clip of the IWB holster is and it would hide the clip perfectly. Not too many people know what a dump pouch is, it doesn't clearly show cartridges in plain sight, it could hold asprin, or a light, or some other tool or item on my belt.
BUT, what if somebody did know what the dump pouch was? What if they did happen to look at it from the right position and see what looked like the makings of a cartridge under the flap?
In other words, will I get arrested and into trouble if someone sees I am carrying ammunition? Where there is ammunition there is often a gun....but the gun isn't what is showing...and there is no law against ammunition.
Thoughts?
