Haha, no seriously though...

I'm picking up a shotgun as a Christmas gift on Monday and wondered if my CHL will speed up the process. I have yet to buy a gun since acquiring the CHL and wondered if it helps me out, if there's a difference when buying handguns vs. long guns with a CHL, etc. Thanks.

it streamlines the process some, but i've never had to wait more than 10minutes for any weapon purchase. With or without my CHL it seems to take a relatively acceptable amount of time.

which shotty you going for?

I go back and forth every day, but the Benelli is coming out on top.

I'm a huge fan of the benelli line... but i have to admit, my 870 (before STOLEN   ) was an amazing weapon...

I'm trying to replace my AR and shotty to get back into 3gun stuff, but for now, the wife hinders such "frivolous" expenses :(

when i do replace it, the 870 with triji's and a new sig 556 will be in the safe.

ehh, bought her a new sig 230... she didn't call that frivolous...
but even i consider the expense of a new shotty and rifle to be a bit much as we've got some debt to clear off this coming year, and it's a priority to me more than competing.

I'd go for the Benelli. I had a Remington 870 that was a POS. I know. Everybody raves about them. I musta got the only lemon they ever produced. Anyway, I like the action on the Benelli, seems MUCH smoother to me. It shoots like a dream. Just my $.02
