Not meaning to hi-jack here, but I am looking at alternatives to my fanny pack and waistband. I carry a G23, am fat and typically don't wear slacks, so IWB rigs have not done well with me. What OWB equipment would ya'll recommend and how does one go about wearing it well concealed?longtooth wrote:I resemble that statement.
Quality belt, quality holster, put it on, cover it up & leave it alone. No one will know you are armed.![]()
In addition to the quality belt thing... You have to have a cover garment of some sort. This time of year that is easy... it could be anything from a fleece vest or 5.11 tactical / photographer's vest to a parka and you would be okay. In the summer it is a bit more tricky, and you usually need something lighter that still works. Polo and Hawaiian type shirts work well for many. Just get them cut a bit longer than normal - usually the rule of thumb for me is that if it will cover the opening to the pockets on my jeans then it will cover my 1911 just fine.Dragonfighter wrote:Not meaning to hi-jack here, but I am looking at alternatives to my fanny pack and waistband.
