Can anyone give me any info about this pistol? I have looked it up on Google and did a search on here, but was unable to get any reviews on it.
Thanks for any info ya'll can provide.
I have a chance to pick on up for $300.00. Does that sound like a good deal?
Thank You,
Emmett

Re: Need info on S&W 410s pistol
Are you talking about the Smith & Wesson Model 410 semi-automatic pistol? (Not to be confused with a revolver that chambers .410 shot shells.)
The price sounds too good to be true. The MSRP is $727.
I don't know anything about the piece.

Re: Need info on S&W 410s pistol
Emmett,
The 410 is a good pistol. My bro-in-law had one before he traded it in on a Kimber. $300 for a pistol that MSRP's in the $700 area is good, but I don't think the resale value is too high on them, and maybe that's why the one you are looking at is a good deal.
Bro-in-law is a 1911 man, he couldn't shoot the 410 good at all, but I shot the pistol and found it to be accurate and reliable. Only distance I tested it at was ~10 yards.
If I were in the market for a full-sized DA/SA pistol in .40 S&W the S&W 410 would be a leading contender, partly due to the fact that my S&W 908 (little, wimpier couzin of the 410) has been so reliable and served so well.
If you want it, but it. I don't think you will be dissapointed. Sounds like a fair price to me, but it's not one you will turn around and sell and make a profit on, I don't think there's too much demand for them right now. But don't let the masses make up your mind as to what you want!

Six for sure.
Re: Need info on S&W 410s pistol
I had the sub-compact little brother in .45... the trigger's are horrible, the balance was so-so...
but it went bang every time, and it was accurate enough...
for $300, you're paying a little less than mine cost me at 325 + shipping...
not a bad deal, decent gun, decent price... watch out though new magazines will set you back a pretty penny.

Re: Need info on S&W 410s pistol
Thanks for the good feedback on the pistol. There sure isn't much info out there on this gun as far as reviews go. That is strange that it would have such a low resale value. This is the second time I heard that.
Thank you, more info would be welcome,
