Shooting in Washington State

Post by dukalmighty »

CARNATION, Wash. - Six people, likely three generations of a family, were found dead Wednesday at a rural property east of Seattle, and police arrested two people who knew the victims, authorities said.

The two, a 29-year-old woman and a man in his early 30s, were being held for investigation of homicide, King County sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart said.

He said they knew the victims, but the pair's own relationship was unclear. They came to the crime scene after investigators arrived there this morning, were questioned by investigators, then arrested around 4 p.m.

Urquhart said investigators had not determined a motive in the slayings.
I would like to see what the motive was ,and if the victims were armed or had no firearms available to defend themselves

there's an update with more info
The victims included a boy about age 3, a girl about 6, a man and a woman in their 30s and a man and a woman in their 50s, "most likely three generations" of one family, said sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart. Names of the victims were not released. The six died of homicidal violence "most likely gunshots," he said.

Investigators were looking for a suspect or suspects in the case, but do not have specific individuals in mind, Urquhart said. A short time earlier, sheriff's Detective Bob Conner said authorities were searching for possible suspects in the area, along with other possible victims, but insisted there was no danger to anyone else living nearby.

Asked to explain, he said, "You have to take my word for it."

The bodies were found on a rural property that includes a house and a mobile home at the end of a long dirt road part of a cluster of other rural properties near this town about 21 miles east of Seattle.

Urquhart declined to say where the victims were found on the property, other than to say they were "not found in the same room."

Urquhart said the bodies were found by a co-worker of one of the victims who had come to the house because one of the victims, who works for the Postal Service, did not report to work.

He said authorities believe the six were killed late afternoon or early evening on Christmas Eve.
