Woman in Southern California killed by 3 dogs

Post by dukalmighty »

I just saw a news clip where a woman was attacked and kiled by 3 dogs and the next day when officers went to retrieve the dogs they had to shoot 2 of the dogs for agressive behaviour,This is one of the reasos i carry,I'm handicapped from a spinal cord injury and i can't run or defend myself very well much less trying to defend against 3 dogs attacking if i was healthy. Not all self defense situations are going to involve another person and had that lady been armed and carrying the outcome could have been much different.

Let me guess.. Pits that got out of their yard and the owner says they'd never shown any agressive behavior in the past. Do I win?

It's time to ban dogs!!! Posting a "dog free zone" should have helped.
Please help the wounded store owner who fought off 3 robbers. He doesn't have medical insurance.

Smart of you. :thumbs2:

I don't like the odds (3 dogs against 1 person) no matter what your physical condition.

It didn't identify breed of dog, but a meter reader said she has been charged by the dogs before,I guess in california all dogs over 10 pounds will be prohibited and those dogs will need to have all they're front teeth pulled leaving only molars for eating with, and if owners are caught in violation they're teeth will be pulled also. :banghead:

Depends on the ground rules.

If by "win", you mean that three stocky short-haired mutts are reported by the media as "pit bulls", you will probably win. If any of the three turn out to be more than 1/4 of any recognized bully breed, I will be very surprised.

It's not unlike the other media game, where a troubled "yute" with a 10/22 and a couple of Airsoft replicas is reported to have "an arsenal of assault weapons".

When we let the idjits re-define terms, we all lose.

I've seen plenty of new stories with dogs that are very obviously, american bulldogs or Boxers or whatever but yet get reported as "Pit Bulls". Singling out a single breed as evil is just as stupid as singling out a single weapon (Ar15, AK47) as evil.

True, but of several dog attack victims I know personally including my own father, it was pits.

Well, I have seen several people use AK47's for evil purposes, still doesn't make me biased against them.

(not trying to attack you in anyway, just getting my point across.)

Where they AK47's or sporterized semi-automatic clones?

agreed. But it always seems to be pits, every time I turn on the TV. When I think of a pit, I think of a rap star who breeds a dog to be mean. I've also never met a pit I've liked. I don't think all pits are mean, but I think there is something inherent in their nature that leads to attacks, and exploitation by the likes of people similar to Michael Vick.
