Dallas and Austin PD linked to pawn shops?

Any one knows if Dallas and or Austin Police department data banks of stolen gun serial numbers are linked with the pawn shops?

Waco’s are, and the thieves know it (i.e. guns stolen in Waco are not pawned in Waco). I am on the look out for a couple of missing guns , and thought it wise to look into it.

I don't know - but I'll ask a cop friend of mine. My guess would be that the pawn shops can call and check, but that it isn't a direct query of the database...
