Who makes........

What are the different gun makers that make a 1911 with.......
commander slide (4" bbl) and
Officers frame (compact).

I am thinking about getting me one of these VERY soon. I know Kimber and Sig both make it but who else???

Kimber is the only TRUE 4" Barrel. Others are 4.25".

Para does what you are talking about (I think). I have a 3.5" officer's model. I think they have a 4" version as well.

Springfield Armory Champion series is a 4" barrel although I think they are on a full size frame...

I have one of those wonderful pistols but yes...it is a full size frame.

I think Colt might make a 1911 in different sizes.

Rock Island Arms makes a budget 1911 that looks good.

SIG and S&W also jumped on the 1911 bandwagon.

The search feature there is pretty cool, but they call it 7+1 capacity instead of "officer's frame".
