FYI: STI group buy - houston

Post by htxred »

I've been on the search for a sti trojan stainless chambered in 9mm, i got in contact with Robert at Talon Arms and they are starting another STI group buy in april (or when they get 10 guns). they only require a 25% downpayment (non refundable) and they only collect that when they're ready to send the list to STI, they dont collect the rest til STI gives them the guns.

just spreading the word, from what i hear, STI's are starting to be hard to get a hold of.

Do you get a discount by going in on a group buy? If so, how much? Also, do they have to be 10 of the same pistol or just an order of 10?

cheaper then what you would get at most places and its just as soon as he gets 10 people or enough people to put in an order for 10 guns. buying a lot at once allows him to get it at a lower price, thus passing the savings onto us.. lol i sound like a infomercial.

You'd sound a lot less like one if you posted actual prices.

im unable to post actual prices.. im just passing along info for others who might be looking for an STI. he gave me a quote of $1003 for the trojan stainless 9mm i was looking for.

for the others who dont know how a groupbuy works...
you go to stiguns.com, pick which gun there that you want, you send robert @ talon arms dot/com an email stating you want to participate in the group buy and let him know which STI you want. he lets you know how much it'll be and puts you on the email list, and when he is ready, he'll send you an email back asking for 25% down payment on the STI you want. once he gets all of that from everyone, he sends the list to STI. When STI ships the guns and he gets them, he'll then notify you, you stop by and pay the remaing balance and go home with your gun. or you mail him the remaining balance and he ships your STI to your FFL dealer..

i'll link you to their guns, if that helps. http://stiguns.com/guns/index.html
