Is it possible to replace the baseplate on a Ruger Mark II magazine? If yes, who sells them?
My daughter owns a Mark II target model for plinking and practice and somebody gave her an "extra" magazine they had laying around from a pistol that was stolen. Unfortunately, it is for one of the 1911 grip style Rugers and will not fit the Mark II. The only difference appears to be the baseplate.
I've looked around the web (i.e. Brownells and Midway) but can't find anybody who sells replacement baseplates for these magazines.

I'm not sure they fit, but it may only be the base plate. try Ruger Mags for a look, and they do have an 800 number on there.
I looked on Volquartsen and Rimfire sports, but didn't see any. Rimfire Sports does have Ruger mags cheaper than Ruger. hth..
