It's a hoax.

ILLinois has strict gun laws that make crime impossible.

It's amazing to me that somebody could live 77 years in this world and believe that a man willing to approach a home and put an elderly woman on her knees to rob at gunpoint for $7 would change his ways if offered a job.

All of the things she proposes are positives, but people still have free will. Unfortunately, some make a choice to be a predator and feed on the weak and naive. Ignoring that fact does not make it go away.

Thank The Lord Rep. Younge didn't have a gun and use it. The thief got what he had coming and didn't get hurt asserting his right to have it.

I wonder how many of these are staged to manufacture support for infringing RKBA.

Obviously a fake news story. Everyone knows the restrictive gun laws in Illinois have virtually eliminated crime. :totap:

Mental health support system? Thats the answer? Maybe if the feel good lawmakers got some mental health support, they would start thinking straight. Unfortunately for the victim above, I dont think this will change her opinions toward gun 'control'.

She's obviously at fault for not having a "No guns" sign on her front door. Silly people. When will they learn?

She should have hired him as a body guard, after all he had a gun right

Its a win, win for both the dude with a gun and the anti-gun politician

I wouldn't go to into East St Louis with or without a gun. :evil2: Maybe in a Humvee with a 50 caliber mounted on top.

we used to be stationed at Scott AFB, and would travel to St Louie every now and again. My dad, for all his wisdom, invariabley "took a wrong turn" trying to get to the arch one day.
THAT was an interesting ride through the ghetto.

Yeah, wish incidents like this would open peoples' eyes, but nooOOOOoooo, instead it just makes them bury their head further into the sand.
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.
