Another group pic!

Post by Tactical_Texan_CHL »

I was rearranging my garage yesterday, and moving things around. I had to unload the safe to move it, so I took the time to take pics of everything for insurance purposes. They looked so cool as a group, I decided to put the group picture up for you guys to see. Here ya go! I couldn't help it, it looked like so much fun when shipwreck did it!

Very nice collection! I've got a Winchester Defender that looks almost identical to yours! (See below).

Thanks! And, Flint, the Wingmaster was my Christmas present when I was 10. Boy, if that thing could talk! I got it after I'd been dove hunting several years with my dad using a single shot .410 (not the one in the pic). That is one special gun with ALOT of memories!!! Thanks for the kind words.

Good picture but a better Idea for us who have not updated pics lately for insurance purposes.

:nono: Shame, shame, LT! You gotta get that stuff updated! Just kidding. I also took pics of each gun separately. I've made a list on Excel with each gun's make, model, caliber, serial number, estimated value, and a short description. I also printed pics of each gun, and one of the group. All of it is now in a small note book in the safe. Just in case someone ever makes it into the safe, or manages to steal it (now bolted to the concrete floor of my garage, and screwed to the wall studs!) I also have a copy of the note book in my office in a filing cabinet, and I e-mailed myself pics and the list and saved the e-mail. You just can't be too careful. I want plenty of documentation just in case anything is ever stolen and used in a crime, or for recovery.

This is what a "collection of weapons" looks like when the police arrest someone for some reason and the media makes it look like the persons a nut job. Makes me mad at the spin they stick on everything.... :grumble

They make it sound like its the ATF armory they always show on history channel tales of the gun or that scene from matrix where they are gearing up in the bootloader.

I was always worried about that...what would happen if they stole my computer and backup drive with my insurance pics on it?

If you are truly concerned about that, don't store it on your hard drive(s), only on flash drives and keep one in your safe deposit box and the other in some other safe-as-possible place.

Good point about the pics for insurance stuff...But get the finite data on the individual pieces as well...Numbers, models etc etc...

Sorry, I know that guy, he's WAY over priced! ;-) I could never part with the Remington 870 Wingmaster for the reasons above. The Winchester Model 94 Trapper could never go either. It was my grandfathers. He bought it new in 1968 and it was in his welding truck with him until he retired in 1986. He died in 1987 and my grandmother gave me the .30-.30. It killed many a coyote, snake and other assorted critters over the years while he was on location.
