How many guns and holsters are in your carry rotation?

Post by Liko81 »

There have been similar questions asked, but I thought I'd pose this one as I think it's unique enough. Quite simply, how many handguns do you have that you carry often, and how many holsters do you have per gun that you generally use for the purpose?

Para 6.45 LDA 45ACP in Galco Royal Guard IWB carried at 3 o'clock.

Colt Gold Cup Commander (Custom Edition) 45ACP carried in same holster as above.

Ruger SP101 357 mag in a Bianchi 3S IWB carried at 3 o'clock.

Kel-Tec P32 32ACP in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster carried in right front pocket.

All except the Kel-Tec are stainless steel.

hey, you didn't put what ammo you had in there! you fail at your NASCAR endorsement test

I chose: More than one carry gun, multiple or interchangeable holsters, different carry modes.

though, to be honest, I haven't found a reason or outfit that precluded me from packin' mah .45 in its IWB holster. the whole rig disappears, it's a gun I can shoot well, and it's comfy! it's been the only thing I've carried for the past two weeks.
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.

2 guns 3 carry methods

Primary is a Taurus PT111 in a Desantis Tucker IWB

Secondary is a CZ-75B in a Blackhawk IWB

Both guns also fit the Belly Band that I occasionally use, however, I have noticed that the Belly does not fit the belly band quite like it used too!

2 guns, 3 holsters, 2 different methods of carry.

That covers my entire wardrobe. Have more I can carry and have holsters for, but they don't get carried enough to count.

Five carry guns.
2 primary, both .45s (HK, Sig)
2 secondary, for special circumstances, or if I just feel like it, both 9mm (Sig, CZ)
1 bug, occasionally used alone if deep concealment is crucial, .38 (S&W)
I practice with all of them at least twice per month so that I can comfortably/safely switch from one to another.

Ten holsters, (KD, Don Hume, Comp-tac, Blade-Tech, Desantis).
Each gun has a primary (most custom made leather) and a back-up holster. I use the latter if I'm going to get sweaty or do something that might damage leather.

Have three off-body carry methods for bug or occasionally for primary gun when that is necessary (Galco, Uncle Mike, Wilderness).
Common sense is not common practice.
