St. Edwards University…PEC building.

I know this question has been asked before but I am having a hard time finding a definitive answer when searching the topic.

Next month I will be attending a Microsoft course presented by St. Edwards University. The class will be held at their PEC (Professional Education Center) building which is not on their main campus. I do not know for sure but I believe it is a leased building (Echelon Business Complex) in Northwest Austin of which other businesses lease space as well.

Is carrying off limits?

I work right by that office and actually went there for a few trainings before St. Ed bought it. Unless things have changed - possible - it is not a school. It is a training facility for getting computer certifications (at least that is what I was there for). More office complex than anything else. I guess someone could try to make a case that it is a school, but I think they would lose that argument. I wouldn't do anything different if heading to training there.

If St. Edwards "bought it" then could it be argued that it is an educational facility as defined by 46.03?

§ 46.03. PLACES WEAPONS PROHIBITED. (a) A person
commits an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or
recklessly possesses or goes with a firearm, illegal knife, club,
or prohibited weapon listed in Section 46.05(a):
(1) on the physical premises of a school or
educational institution, any grounds or building on which an
activity sponsored by a school or educational institution is being
conducted, or a passenger transportation vehicle of a school or
educational institution, whether the school or educational
institution is public or private, unless pursuant to written
regulations or written authorization of the institution;

I don't think there is any doubt about it. The part of the building leased by St. Ed's is definitely going to be one of those places where it is banned. Note the clause that says "any grounds or building on which an activity sponsored by a school or educational institution is being conducted". St. Ed's is clearly an educational institution and they are hosting the class.
