Steyr M1-A Pistol

Post by Tallinthesaddle »

My local gun dealer has had one of these Steyr M1-A 9mm pistols sitting around for a while and has lowered it to less than $400.
I need another 9mm, and wondered if anyone has any pros or cons on this pistol.? Thanks

I have over 100,000 rounds through my Steyr 9mm. It is accurate and reliable. The only reason I retired it was I like the ambidextrous safety on the M&P and parts are easier to come by.

They are really great guns and CDNN is selling them for $339 (40 or 9mm). :woohoo I have two of the M9A1s, one with well over 5k rounds, and I cannot recall the last time I had an issue. All of my range buddies who have tried mine have run out and picked one up for themselves - there are 6 problem-free M9A1s among 4 of us (3 came from the CDNN stock that is being sold now). Great ergo's, excellent pointability, perfect size for CCW (imho), and factory support from Steyr Arms Inc. is absolutely phenomenal. Check out SteyrClub.com for a boatload of more info...
