My local gun dealer has had one of these Steyr M1-A 9mm pistols sitting around for a while and has lowered it to less than $400.
I need another 9mm, and wondered if anyone has any pros or cons on this pistol.? Thanks

I have over 100,000 rounds through my Steyr 9mm. It is accurate and reliable. The only reason I retired it was I like the ambidextrous safety on the M&P and parts are easier to come by.

They are really great guns and CDNN is selling them for $339 (40 or 9mm). I have two of the M9A1s, one with well over 5k rounds, and I cannot recall the last time I had an issue. All of my range buddies who have tried mine have run out and picked one up for themselves - there are 6 problem-free M9A1s among 4 of us (3 came from the CDNN stock that is being sold now).
