What are ya'lls sound off off Corbon's PowRball ammo, any good??
Re: Corbon PowRBall
gimmick. I'll take any premium hollow point over the powrball. The only reason I see for it is if your gun won't feed anything but FMJ profile.
Re: Corbon PowRBall
I carry it in my Kahr PM9. Partially because it does feed well in a steep ramped handgun. However, I am one of those that goes on the foot lbs of energy that they have. Compared to the other 9mm rounds, they have more muzzle energy that anything else I have found. if you combine that energy with the .61" expansion of the bullet, it punches a nice hole and does it with a lot of force.
That's my theory and I am sticking to it.

Re: Corbon PowRBall
John Farnam of the Defense Training Institute was a big fan of Powerball (according to his 'quips' at http://www.defense-training.com/quips/quips.html) until Corbon came out the the DPX round. According to his tests, it penetrates clothing better than hollowpoints but expands and penetrates as good as hollowpints do once it's through the layers of cloth or whatever. However, he now uses DPX because he says it does what Powerball does and more. DPX also costs more than Powerball.
